The Championship Bout
In the tournament, Keerthana was matched against a fighter from the Meghalaya team. Only later did they learn that her opponent was the daughter of the Meghalaya team coach — and also had international fight experience.
From the opening bell, the opponent came forward aggressively, throwing wild power punches looking for a knockout. But Keerthana read the fight smartly.
She maintained distance, controlled the pace, and overpowered her with high-volume combinations — landing clean elbows and knees, and finishing the bout in style. 💪🏼
